Survivorship
As life after treatment begins, survivors and their families often have new questions about what comes next, such as follow up care and long term health. People who had cancer as children, often called childhood cancer survivors, may experience physical or emotional effects from their cancer or treatment, months or even years later.
COG offers resources to help survivors and their families, and healthcare providers through this lifelong journey. These include guidelines for long-term follow-up care, easy-to-understand educational materials, and tools to help manage care. Together, they help catch possible late effects early, encourage regular check-ups, and support survivors in staying healthy over time.
