Comprehensive Support at your Fingertips

COG’s patient and family education resources include practical guides for newly diagnosed patients, caregiving at home, adolescent and young adult support, and long-term survivorship. Developed by COG experts, these tools help families better understand what to expect, make informed decisions, and access support throughout treatment and beyond.

Resources are available in multiple languages and formats for printing or digital viewing, making them accessible to patients and families. These resources were created by the COG Nursing Committee and are provided to patients and families at no cost through the generosity of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Additional Resources

Explore downloadable guides designed to support patients, families, and caregivers through diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and beyond. These resources include the New Diagnosis Guide, Caring for Your Child at Home slide set, and AYA New Diagnosis Guide in several different languages. Additionally, the Family Handbook is also provided in several languages beyond English, French, and Spanish thanks to volunteers from COG member institutions.

COG’s Long-Term Follow-Up Guidelines were developed as a resource for clinicians who provide ongoing healthcare to survivors of pediatric malignancies. As a companion to the COG’s Long-Term Follow-Up Guidelines a series of Health Links have been developed to provide more in-depth information about some of the more common late effects.

What is a Clinical Trial?

Clinical trials are research studies that test how well new medical approaches, such as drugs, treatments, or screening methods, work in people to improve care and quality of life. These studies are carefully designed and monitored to ensure safety and effectiveness, rely on voluntary participation, and are essential for turning scientific discoveries into real-world patient treatments.
