When Are Results Available?

Clinical trials can take many years to complete, and sometimes results are not released until long after the last patient has been enrolled. During that time, researchers analyze data to ensure the findings are accurate and answer the study’s primary question.

Additional results may become available over time as further analyses are completed. To receive automatic updates about trial results, enter your email on the study results page to be notified when new summaries are posted.

What is Return of Results?

COG’s Return of Results (ROR) program makes clinical trial findings accessible to participants. The program provides families with a simple way to stay connected with the research they helped support, including access to plain-language summaries that explain trial results, including what researchers learned about treatment effectiveness, side effects, and patient outcomes.

Families can search for clinical trial results in COG’s ROR database using a study keyword or ID and sign up to receive notifications when updates are posted. Updates summarize overall trial outcomes rather than individual patient results. Families with questions about their child’s care should speak directly with their care team.
